My name is Liz Ingersoll and I have been a professional photographer since 2010. I am a wife, mom, and a devoted fan of Cici’s cinnamon rolls. (Please excuse me while I daydream of their warm gooeyness for just a moment!) Oh! Did I also mention I’m EXTREMELY ADD? Anywhoo... I have been fortunate enough to see my photos published in variety of magazines, tv shows, and 8 of my pieces were even featured in a movie once called, The Lamp. In 2012 I was asked to cover two blank 40 foot walls in each concourse of the Tulsa International Airport and from there the sky was the limit! I'm proud to say my unique Tulsa and Route 66 collages are still on display there today. Also, in 2012, I was honored Best in Show at Utica Square's Art in the Square. I believe it was the first time I was ever completely speechless for more than an hour. Truth be told, I didn't really need to speak. The constant grin across my face said it all. And most recently I was the Featured Artist at the Indian Health Care Resource Center, Dance of the Two Moons Annual Fundraiser. I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous about that one but also incredibly honored. Especially since they had never featured a photographer before. So, needless to say, I have been truly humbled by the response of individuals and businesses alike who grasp my mission of making art both beautiful and meaningful. Speaking of meaningful art, lets talk about that for a second. See, I believe art should be more than just a pretty picture on the wall. I feel like ART should be personal. And if you do it right, I believe it should tell a story about you, your patrons and your local community. I want you to think about that for a second because it really is the whole reason I started taking pictures in the first place. For me, I wanted to share my story of growing up in Oklahoma with my daughter. And what I realized after my first show was that my photos not only told MY story... they tell OUR story. As a way to give back, I’ve recently started photographing small businesses in Owasso at no charge in an attempt to bring them more exposure on google maps. I also offer this service 20 miles outside of Owasso for only $50 should you or someone you know be interested in having your establishment photographed.
